Cystoseira compressa, C. foeniculacea, Gongolaria barbata and Fucus virsoides juveniles were planted in an educational cooperation with Kamenjak Public Institution through one of their summer workshops where the school kids actively learn about the importance of nature conservation on land and sea. The 3 small patches that were planted by the young generations will test the viability of “marine reforestation” as well as increase the awareness of the vulnerability and importance of protecting and restoring our marine coastal ecosystems.
